Won nearly 79 percent of his games during a career in which his teams won 663 and lost just 187 … led Lebanon to a state title in 1918, then moved to Martinsville, where he won state championships in 1924, 1927 and 1933 … co-coach with Tony Hinkle of the first Indiana all-star team to play Kentucky … coached the all-star team six times … never had a losing season as a coach … in 18 years at Martinsville, won 15 sectionals and 12 regionals … became athletic director and coach at Indiana State in 1938 … 1946 Sycamores won the Midwest Invitational Tourney at Chicago … coached briefly with the Indianapolis Kautskys before moving into the school administration field at Martinsville.
