Compiled a 337-173 record in coaching career that included stops at North Vernon, Greenfield and Seymour… coached teams to Sweet 16 on 3 occasions, twice advancing to final 8 … 10 sectional crowns, 7 invitational tourney championships … at North Vernon won 5 Southeastern Indiana Conference championships in 7 years … All-State player at Marion in 1926 .. all-sectional twice and all-regional once … 4-sport athlete, played basketball 3 years…at Wabash College, played baskerball 3 years and baseball for 4 years…played semi-pro basketball with the Marmon Motor Car Co….was secretary-treasurer of South Central Athletic Conference for 25 years and a member of the State Board of Education from 1944-48…past president of Indiana Association of Junior & Senior High School Principals.
