Coached at University of Tennessee by Ray Mears, nicknamed the “Greenfield Gunner”. Led Tennessee to N.I.T. in 1971 and S.E.C. co-championship in 1972. All S.E.C. 1972, 1973, S.E.C. Player of Year 1972. Averaged 30.1 points on freshman team. Finished U.T. career with 1,343 points. Academic All-S.E.C. 1971, 1972, 1973, Academic All-American 1972. Drafted by Indiana Pacers. Played professionally in Mexico. Silver Anniversary Team 1994. Coached at Farragut and William Blount High Schools in Tennessee. Served as head basketball coach at Emory and Henry College (VA).
