Played for Idaho Simplots and Louisville Colonels of the American Basketball League…A 3-year starter for Hall of Famer Marion Crawley at Washington High School … ball-handling guard of the 1941 and ‘42 state champions … twice all-conference … All-State as a senior … in ‘40, as a sophomore, his team had advanced to the semistate championship, but he was sidelined by an appendicitis attack … the Hatchets lost by one point to Mitchell, eventual state runner-up … in 3 years he never played in a losing IHSAA tournament game … played on Toledo University’s varsity as a freshman…that team finished second in the NIT…all conference…played professionally for the Idaho Simplots and Louisville Colonels of the American Basketball League.
