Named to the 1949 Indiana All-Star Team after an outstanding career at Portland High School....as a sophomore scored final three points in an upset of Hartford City to win the sectional 33-32....junior year leads team to a 26-2 record and a runner-up slot at the semi-state....during 18 year coaching career won 228 games and lost 150....led Albany HS to school's best record of 18-3 in 1958-59....1963-64 Selma team had undefeated 21-0 regular season and won tough Delaware County Tournament....1966-67 Bluebird Team was the first Delaware County school outside of the city of Muncie to win a sectional....ended coaching career at Cambridge City H.S. in 1985.
