(New Castle) – The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame announces that the 1984 Crown Point Lady Bulldogs undefeated state championship team will be inducted as a team in ceremonies on Saturday, April 26, 2014.

Per Hall of Fame Bylaws, undefeated girls state champion teams are inducted as a group 30 years after the accomplishment.

Three members of that team have previously been inducted into the Hall of Fame as individuals – head coach Tom May and players Anne (Kvachkoff) Equihua and Nancy (Cowan) Eksten.

They will become the fifth girls team be inducted, joining the 1976 Warsaw, 1977 East Chicago Roosevelt, 1978 Warsaw and 1979 East Chicago Roosevelt undefeated state champion teams.
