2014 Women’s Center Circle Officials Award Winners Named

The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame recognizes two men for their contribution as high school girls basketball officials as the 2014 Women-s Center Circle Officials Award winners.

Bob Anderson of Indianapolis and Larry Sintz of Brookville will be acknowledged for their officiating careers.

Bob Anderson is a 1966 graduate of Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, Maryland, where he participated in baseball, golf, football and basketball.  A graduate of Purdue University in Physical Education, he received his masters in secondary education from Indiana University. Anderson worked 12 state tournaments including 12 sectionals, 10 regionals, six semi-states and three state finals (1990, 1992 and 1994).  A member of the Indiana Officials Association, served as President, a member of their board of directors, a basketball rules interpreter and on their membership committee.  Anderson is the father of three and has two stepdaughters with wife Susan.  He retired from a career as a teacher in Indianapolis Public Schools

Larry Sintz is a 1964 graduate of Brookville High School in Brookville, Indiana.  He participated in basketball while a student.  His long officiating career included 36 girls sectionals, 33 regionals, 12 semi-states and three state finals (1990, 1995, 2001).  A member of the EIOA officials association, he was a girls basketball clinician for four years.  Retired and the father of two, he resides in Brookville.

Center Circle Officials Award winners will be honored at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame-s 13th Annual Women-s Banquet on Saturday, April 26, 2014.
