Brenda (Kelsay) Simmons

Set career scoring record of 1,374 points for Shelbyville High School… key member of the 1979 regional championship team… averaged 26 points and 7.9 rebounds per game as a senior and became the 1^st Indiana All-Star in Shelbyville history (1981)… still holds game and career steals records… received basketball scholarship to Purdue University and was named to the 1984 Big Ten all-academic team… was head girls coach at her alma mater, Shelbyville, from 1986-1996 and assistant coach at Columbus North from 1996-2004… named to Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame 2006 Silver Anniversary Team.
