‘Mac’ spent 28 yrs. as high school basketball official … worked state finals in 1951 and ’52 … officiated Indiana-Kentucky all star game in ’63 … left officiating due to heart attack, but continued with IHSAA as rules interpreter and observer of officials … served as sec/treas of Eastern Indiana Officials Assn 20 yrs, plus ran Richmond’s recreation program 6 yrs, then became city parks director, serving over 3 decades …  past president of Ind. Football Hall of Fame … said he was ‘very lucky to get in the lineup’ in high school.
