New Castle resident who spear headed the campaign for building the new Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Museum…helped raise the funds to build the $2.5 million facility and advance the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Foundation…Henry County’s Representative to the Hall of Fame’s Board of Directors…attended Indiana University, graduating in 1942…among his honors include the Indiana Jefferson Award from The Indianapolis Star for distinguished public service, the Zora B. Clevenger Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to Indiana University’s athletic program, he was Chairman for the National Board of Trustees of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and received the Volunteer Fundraiser Award from the National Society of Fundraising Executives.
