Coached Shelbyville High School to the 1947 state championship . . . ‘Barney’ also coached at Yorktown, Danville, Flora, and Jeffersonville High Schools coached a year at Central Normal College with undefeated team winning intercollegiate state title high school teams won 5 sectionals, 3 regionals, and 1 semistate half of his 30 seasons were spent at Shelbyville, where he was also athletic director only 2 losing seasons in those 3 decades basketball and track athlete at Roachdale High School.
