Standout forward for the Lawrenceburg High School Basketball Team that won the sectional during his junior and senior seasons.carried his athletic ability to DePauw University where he played basketball, baseball, and tennis.won the school’s tennis tournament during his junior and senior years.taught and coached at Bright High School, Kings H.S. in Ohio and returned to Lawrenceburg High School as teacher and coach in 1941 where he compiled a 321-195 record over the next 22 years.overall record was 368-222.had a six-year ‘dynasty’ form 1945-1950 by winning six straight sectionals, four consecutive regionals, and were semi-state finalists three times..LHS was one of the most dominating basketball schools in the state with only 250 students and they established a 93-13 win-loss record during this span of Hoosier Hysteria.
