17 years as athletic director at Indianapolis Arsenal Tech H.S.,
and 39 years as teacher and athletic trainer for 14 years
…directed the Hinkle boys sectional, regional and semistate served as asst director of the boys state finals director for 11 years of
the girls state championship…a licensed physical therapist, he was a pioneer in the use of athletic trainers on the high school
level and organized the first high school athletic training room in
the Indianapolis school system…his behind-the-scenes contributions to the game are far-reaching…first recipient of the Charles Maas Award.
