Two-year starter at Rushville High School, Co-Captain and Co-MVP, All-Sectional, All-Regional and All Semi-State selections. Played for Hall of Famer Les Ray. At DePauw University, was a two-year starter for Hall of Famer Elmer McCall, Captain and MVP, held the Indiana State University Fieldhouse single game scoring record, finished as 8th leading scorer in DePauw history. Inducted into the DePauw University Athletic Hall of Fame. Coached at Danville, Linton-Stockton and Kokomo Haworth. Spent the last 18 years of his professional career as athletic director at Kokomo High School. President of North Central Conference Athletic Directors 1994 and 2001. Highly respected for his work to establish student-athletes academic standards, sportsmanship, and gender equity. II AAA District II Athletic Director of the Year 1997. Received Distinguished Hoosier Award from Governor Mitch Daniels in 2005.
