His senior year coinciding with the opening of the New Castle Fieldhouse, he set single-season Trojan records of 575 points, 23.9 points per game, 217 field goals, 141 free throws, .821 free throw percentage and single-game records of 18 made free throws and 52 points… his career scoring average of 19.1 points per game remained the best in New Castle history for 23 years…  at Ball State, he scored 1,134 points in 65 games, equating to a career average of 17.4 points per game, averaging no less than 16.7 ppg in each of his three seasons of varsity eligibility…  as a senior, he earned all-Indiana Collegiate Conference and UPI Small College All-American recognitions.
