Coached at Huntington High School before returning to IU…asst coach, then 5 seasons as head coach, Started every game at Jeffersonville in 4-yr varsity career… 3-time all sectional and all-regional…established scoring records… college career delayed by WW II…the only high school player on his service team, yet the leading scorer on unit ranked 3rd in nation…was 4-yr starter at Indiana Univ…MVP as junior and senior…all-Big 10 those years…broke IU’s career and Big 10 scoring records…All-American third- teamer…2-time winner of coveted Balfour Award at IU.
