Standout athlete at Clayton High School in basketball, track, & softball, started four years in basketball & football at Franklin College & served as captain of each team for three years & two years respectively. Earned degrees from Franklin College, Butler University & Indiana University. Coached at Bainbridge, Charlottesville, & Manual High Schools winning a total of 200 games while dropping only 72, lost the heartbreaking state basketball championship game in 1961 to Kokomo by two points in overtime. Coached legendary basketball players Tom & Dick Van Arsdale. He served 12 years as guidance counselor at Northwest High School & concluded his career in the field of education by serving 10 years as the Vice-Principal at the same school. Deceased.
