Richard (Dick) Piper

Scored 1,053 career points leading Chester Township to a 61-10 record over three seasons, including an undefeated regular season and regional championship his senior year… Totaled 41 points in regional, including 30 in regional championship, leading his team past powerhouse programs Kokomo and Marion in the same day …  was named three times all-sectional, 1948 all-regional and all-semi-state teams… scored a career-high 32 points in one half against Bippus…  Was first Manchester College player to surpass 1,000 career points, notching 1,119 in career sandwiched around service in U.S. Air Force… twice all-conference… worked five years at Laketon High School, then 40 years as teacher, coach, athletic director and headmaster at Howe Military School.
