Six seasons of professional ball including 2 years with Anderson Packers and 2 more with Doxie Moore’s Sheboygan Redskins . . . Started as a junior on 1938 state championship team, the 1st school from the Summit City to win a title . . . played alongside Ralph Hamilton under Coach Burt Friddle, both Hall of Famers, that season . . . earned all-state honors the following year while leading the Archers to an undefeated regular season but South was upset in the regional by Ossian . . . Played collegiately at Toledo Univ. which was ranked #5 nationally in 1941, earning trip to NIT finals.
