Led Anderson Indians to North Central Conference championship and was NCC’s leading scorer his senior season at 16 ppg… Started as a junior on Indians’ 1948 state finals team that lost in semis to eventual champ Lafayette Jeff… Selected to the 1949 Indiana All-Star team, served as a captain and scored nine points in 66-61 victory…  In 1955 named to Anderson High School’s all-time 1st five players… played at Kansas State University, a sophomore member of their 23-3 1951 NCAA National Runner-up team averaging over 7 ppg in their tournament run… a two-year starter, he was all-conference, honorable mention All-American and selected team’s most inspirational player his senior year… MVP of 1953 East-West Shrine game and 1954 World Wide Air Force tournament… drafted by NBA’s Milwaukee Hawks… four years assistant basketball coach and head baseball coach at Montana State University… 1974 Silver Anniversary Team.
