Three-year starter for East Chicago Washington…captain, leading scorer & rebounder of the Senators’ 1960 state championship team that won a school record 28 games & pummeled Muncie Central 75-59 in the championship…led all scorers in the sectional, regional & semi-state & selected to all-tournament teams in sectional, regional & semi-state…Senator teams were 70-8 & won three sectionals, three regionals & one semi-state during his time as a starter…Wore #5 jersey for 1960 Indiana All-Stars…Parade All-American…received a basketball scholarship to Michigan State University…his daughter Kristina led the 1994 Lake Central state championship team & started on the Indiana All-Star team, making them a rare father-daughter state champion & All-Star combination.
