Taught at Whiteland 1952-55, became leader of GAA Clubs. Took best GAA players and played against Center Grove and Edinburgh in basketball and softball. During years at Franklin College, coached volleyball, basketball, softball and track and field. Remained active in high school athletics as a college representative for the GAA. One of the first coaches to provide summer camps for high school players to improve their game. Served as Indiana Chairman of the Girls and Women’s Sports Division of the AAHPER to promote girls’ and women’s sports. Served on the first IHSAA Girls’ Advisory Board in 1973 to help organize girls’ participation in organized sports and tournaments. Recruited many of Indiana’s top players, including 1976 Miss Basketball, Judi Warren at Franklin College.
