William A. Harmon

Four-year basketball player at Jennings County, coached by Hall of Fame inductee Bill Springer… scored 1,537 career points, averaging over 25 points a game as a senior… also had 1,001 career rebounds and averaged 17.1 rebounds per game… Jennings County set state record for highest team scoring average (92.9 ppg) his junior year… went on to play at the University of Louisville and was a member of three NCAA Tournament teams, including the 1975 Final Four team that lost to eventual national champion UCLA… became an assistant coach for the Jennings County boys basketball program and supporter of North Vernon community… member of 1998 Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Silver Anniversary Team.
