3-yr starter for Jeffersonville team that went 24-3 his junior year and 31-0 in senior year … first undefeated team to play in state finals, losing to Anderson in championship game … led all scorers in state tourney … All-State guard … a year earlier, 1934, lost to Indianapolis Tech in the 16-team state tournament … three year starter at Indiana University … successful high school coaching at Jamestown and Angola before becoming assistant coach at IU, then coached Wabash to 47-13 record in 3 years … returned to Jeffersonville to be coach 7 years and athletic director 14 years.
