Annual Women’s Awards Dinner
The 2020 Men and Women’s Banquet Ceremonies scheduled for October 15 and October 17 have been postponed due to the complexities and uncertainties surrounding COVID-19.
This Annual Awards Banquet is a celebration of our state’s women’s basketball heritage and a reunion of its greatest stars.
Each year the program honors the newest class of inductees, the Silver Medal recipient, and brings together a Silver Anniversary Team of the best graduating high school seniors from 25 years ago. Officials are recognized as recipients of the Center Circle Officials Award, the state championship team of 25 years ago is recognized, as is the team that won the Girls’ Hall of Fame Classic 25 seasons ago.
Beginning with a midday reception at the Hall of Fame museum in New Castle, the evening’s affair is hosted at Primo Banquet Hall on the south side of Indianapolis with a reception, dinner, and program. Each attendee receives a keepsake program book from the event, featuring the evening’s inductees and honorees.
Banquets are expected to be held in 2021 to honor those previously selected for 2020 recognition – reschedule dates are not yet determined and will be based on public health conditions and guidelines.
Those originally selected as the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Class of 2020 will now become the Class of 2021, with no additional inductees selected for the coming year. A 2021 Silver Anniversary Team, recognizing top high school seniors from 1996, will be selected and added to 2021 banquet ceremonies.
2021 banquet dates will be publicized as far in advance as possible.
Anyone with 2020 banquet reservations may begin requesting refunds through the Hall of Fame office immediately by calling (765) 529-1891 or emailing Kayla.
Reservations may be held for anyone wishing to plan for 2021 dates or they can be accepted as donations to the Hall of Fame (a tax-deductible contribution) if they do not plan to be used.
