I’m probably one of the luckiest and most blessed persons ever. Let me give you just a couple of reasons that to me are obvious. I had the distinct pleasure of playing basketball for the greatest coach in any sport, the legendary John Wooden and one of my teammates was the greatest college basketball player to ever play the game, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Since the focus of this article is on our beloved John Wooden, I would like to share a few observations about the man with whom I had an incredible relationship for over 45 years.
