U. basketball team in 1951, pitched for Indiana’s Big 10 championship baseball team in 1949…played 3 years on basketball team with 19-3 record in 1951…I.U. ranked 5th in nation and 2nd in Big 10 with 12-2 conference record…first NBA Co-Rookie of the Year.
