1957 South Bend Central Bears 30-0, second team in Indiana history to go undefeated, coached by Hall of Famers Elmer McCall and Jim Powers…starting guard again in 1958 and captain with a 20 win season…four-year letterman at the University of Houston, 1961 Houston team played in the NCAA post season losing to 1961 champion, Cincinnati Bearcats…selected most spirited player in 1962…began basketball officiating career in 1962 through 1983, officiated in six major NCAA conferences and seven NCAA tournaments…1978 Silver Anniversary team, 1957 South Bend Central team inducted in 2007.
