Played on both the 1917 and 1918 state championship Lebanon teams, scoring a total of 26 points in those games…All-State…Big 10’s leading scorer at Purdue University in 1921…All-American…Purdue tied for conference championship that year, winning it outright the next year…coached at Washington University at St. Louis, Connecticut and Rutgers…chosen by U. S. State Department to set up a basketball program in Thailand…coached that nation’s 1956 Olympic team. In 1942, he was selected by writers, coaches and officials as one of the 10 all-time All-Americans.
