Doug Linville

Graduated from New Salem in 1965…earned all-time leading scorer in New Salem history with a career 2,120 points…graduated from Brevard Jr. where he averaged 13 points and 13 rebounds per game… went to West Florida where he was the teams MVP both his junior and senior year campaigns being named All-regional as well…was a teacher for 33 years, beginning at Pensacola High School, and 32 years at Mt. Vernon Middle School.  Linville was named to the West Florida Hall of Fame along with being named National Distinguished Breeder Award for showing pigs.
