Coached 20 years at Monticello, McCordsville, Martinsville and Winamac, Active in outdoor basketball, track and cross country … coached by the students themselves in a time prior to school’s organized athletics … cross country at Indiana University … played independent basketball 1908-20 … coached 20 years at Monticello, McCordsville, Martinsville & Winamac his ’32 Winamac team lost state championship game to New Castle … also made state tourney in ’29 6 sectional crowns, 2 regionals … in ’11, helped organize the first state tournament in Bloomington.
