Gene Flowers

A three-year starter for highly rated Muncie Central High, he was selected All State in 1954 and 1955 and was a member of the 1955 Indiana All State Team. After graduation in 1955 he continued playing basketball at Indiana University where he was a member of two Big Ten Championship teams and was team captain in 1959. He coached in both Indiana and Illinois high schools. He was living in Lansing, Illinois, and was Assistant Principal of Thornton Fractional South High School when he was chosen to be a member of the 1980 Silver Anniversary Team.
