Jack Cross
All-SCC player in basketball, football, and track, named team captain and MVP senior year…member of the 1950 Rushville regional championship team… Multi-sport athlete and four-year starter at Ball State University, graduated as BSU’s 2nd all-time leading scorer (1,102 points) and set single-season scoring record… captain of the BSU Cardinals team and an all-conference player two years … outstanding coaching career winning six sectionals in 13 years at Dunkirk and Bluffton and advanced to two regional finals… was named the Ball State High School Coach of the Year during the 1967-68 season and was inducted into the Ball State Athletic Hall of Fame in 1980.
