Began coaching career at Frankfort then to Oak Hill going to Lawrence North in ’76 … won 4 State Championships, 4 Semi-State, 6 Regional, 13 Sectional championships, 3 Indiana Basketball HOF Tournaments. Won Marion Co. tourney in 78, 88, 92, 99, 01, 04, 06. Achieved 500th career coaching victory in ’02-03. 11 Lawrence North players Indiana All-Stars. Coach of Indiana All-Star team, McDonald’s All-American team, McDonald’s Derby Classic. Voted Indiana Coach of Year & named Ball State Alumnus Coach of  Year. Numerous other recognitions for Marion Co. Coach of the Year, District Coach of the Year & Conference Coach of Year. 05-06 Nat’l. Coach of Year in high school basketball. Perfect season record achieved in 05-06, 29 wins 0 losses. Set the longest winning streak in Indiana high school men’s basketball with 50 straight wins.
