Jimmie Howell
Inducted as the 15th winningest coach in Indiana boys basketball history with just under 600 victories at Mt. Vernon (Fortville), Muncie South, Brownsburg and Lapel… coached Mt. Vernon boys from 1981-1995, with seven sectional titles and two regional championships… from 1991-1995 concurrently served as Mt. Vernon’s varsity boys & girls head coach… led Muncie South to two sectional championships… took over at alma mater Lapel with 2005 1A championship in his first season and followed with 2016 2A championship victory… assistant coach for the 1991 Indiana All-Stars and member of IHSAA Board of Directors.
