Joe Hinton

Three year starter for Georgetown High School…voted outstanding senior athlete…played two years at Georgetown College, KY…also lettered in baseball and track…was chosen outstanding senior athlete…began high school coaching career at Georgetown before its consolidation into Floyd Central, coached there for 31 years, then coached at Providence and Paoli with an overall record of 594-339…won 15 sectionals, six regionals and two semi-states…teams went to final four in 1971 and 1989…State Coach of the year 1971…Indiana All Star Coach 1993…State Coach of the Year in Cross Country with 4 State Championships…inducted into the Track/Cross Country Hall of Fame 2000.
