“Ottie” was high-scoring guard and all-conference player at Vincennes for Hall of Famer, Chet Francis … all-sectional and all-regional, and known for long range jumpers … had 3 games over 30 points … All-State in 1956 … named to Big Eight conference all-sophomore team at Colorado … led Buffaloes in scoring in both their games against Kansas State, the nation’s top ranked team … helped Colorado hold Wilt Chamberlain to 6 points, 26 below his average, in a narrow loss to Kansas … transferred to Indiana State, but did not continue basketball career … became Executive Vice President & Chief Trust Officer for American Fletcher National Bank & Trust, Indianapolis … a director of Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
