A starter from late in sophomore season … named all-conference forward as senior alongside future NBA star Paul Hoffman of Jasper … played freshman ball at IU, then joined Army Air Corps … after service, played 3 yrs at Nevada-Reno, including 2 years as starting guard … played briefly for Anderson and Louisville in the NPBL … began head coaching career in 1951 … became head coach at Kokomo, the state’s 2nd largest school.
