Linda Kay Rule Barnett

At Indiana Central played 6 on 6 basketball for two years and then the school switched to the modern day rules of 5 on 5, was a “Miss Do Everything,” as she earned 12 athletic letters in college. Began her teaching & coaching career at Zionsville High School, took over the basketball program during the 1973-74 season and quickly compiled a record of 67 wins and only 28 losses in six years, took her skills to Clinton Central to coach and serve as the school’s athletic director. Finished the 2002-03 season with a won loss record of 395-183. Named the Lafayette Area Coach of the Year in 1997. Served as Assistant Coach for the Indiana All-Star Team in 1988, and served on the IHSAA Board of Directors from 2000-2004.
