Set Delta High School records with 1,497 career points, the top two single-season scoring totals and single-season assists…  as a senior, he averaged 27.7 points, 9.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game, leading the Eagles to a 21-4 record, a sectional championship and his selection as a 1989 Indiana All-Star… at Purdue, he was a senior captain and among program leaders in career assists… his head coaching tenure with the Boilermakers includes five Sweet 16 appearances, 12 NCAA Tournament berths, three Big Ten regular-season championships and a Big Ten Tournament title…  he is the 2^nd winningest coach in Purdue history and 5^th winningest in Big Ten Conference history… the 2019 NABC National Coach of the Year, he is one of four men all-time to have been named the Big Ten Coach of the Year four times.
