Began his broadcasting career at WARU in Peru at the age of 15 … as a freshman at Ball State University, he was hired by WLBC (Muncie, IN) and has been the “Voice of the Ball State Cardinals” for basketball and football for over 46 years … in addition to 2,000 Ball State broadcasts, he has done over 2,500 high school basketball and football games as well as 46 consecutive Indiana High School State Basketball finals … selected Sportscaster of the Year for the State of Indiana by the Indiana Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association in 1985, 1989, and 1992 … member of Ball State University and Mid-American Conference Halls of Fame … Bachelors and Masters degrees from Ball State University.
