Paul E. Weekley

An Illinois native and Eastern Illinois University graduate who left his mark as an Indiana high school coach… spent 28 seasons as head basketball coach at Shelburn and North Central (Farmersburg) high schools… accumulated 431 career wins, six sectional championships, a regional championship and “Sweet 16” appearance in 1947, three times knocked out of state tournament by eventual state runner-up or champion… teams won eight Wabash Valley Tournament prelims and finished twice as runner-up in the prestigious event… captured three Sullivan County Holiday Tournament titles in six years at North Central… was an athletic director for 31 years, also coaching cross country, softball and baseball.
