A reserve on Franklin ‘Wonder Five’ team that won third straight state title in 1922 under Hall of Famer ‘Griz’ Wagner…also starred in track…at Franklin College, played basketball two years, football three, and track two…coached 16 years at Culver High School, winning 7 county championships, five sectionals and two regionals…coached 27 years at Goshen where he was also athletic director…established the Goshen Relays, the largest high school track meet in the Midwest…was named Goshen’s first city park superintendent…winner of Franklin College Athletic Achievement Award.
