Coached 18 years at Franklin High School; athletic director for another 17 years … started at Franklin High School as a freshman…starting his sophomore year, led Grizzly Cubs to 3 straight state titles in 1920, ’21 and ’22…During that string, Franklin posted winning streaks of 29 and 48 games…played at Franklin College, where school gained national prominence and “Fuzzy” was named Chicago Tribune’s collegiate player of the year…called by sportswriter, Fred Young, “the sweetest piece of basketball timber in the United States today.”
