Marion H.S.’s 1963 “Female Athlete of the Year” for outstanding athletic ability, leadership & citizenship, having participated in volleyball, basketball & track…played field hockey, basketball & tennis at Ball State Univ…from 1971-74 established the girls’ athletic program at Yorktown H.S….served as assistant director of girls’ athletics at the IHSAA from 1974-77, when girls basketball became an IHSAA sport…became girls’ basketball coach at Warren Central in 1978 & over next 12 seasons made the Warriors a state power…teams won 189 games (71.1%), 10 sectionals titles, 2 regionals, 1 semi-state & were the 1984 state runners-up…her team won the inaugural Girls Hall of Fame Classic in 1984 & won 3 consecutive Marion Co. championships 1983-1985…asst. coach of the Indiana All-Stars in 1984.
