All-sectional, all-regional & all-semistate performer for Hope in ’45, helping them to only sectional & regional championships in its history…member of Indiana All-Star team…4-yr basketball & softball player…played 3 yrs for Tony Hinkle at Butler where he won 2 letters in baseball…coached at Mitchell & then Carmel (58-70)…coached Carmel to runner-up spot in state championship in 1970…state’s co-coach of the year that season…lifetime coaching record 336-145, including a 50-game home winning streak at Carmel in 1967 through 1970. Coached two sons who were Mr. Basketball, Billy in 1968 & Dave in 1970. Was Athletic Director at Carmel.
