Criswell hired as new Development Director

(NEW CASTLE) – The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that Cory Criswell has been hired as the new Development Director, starting on July 31st, 2023. 

“We are excited to have Cory on board as our new Development Director and welcome him to our organization. With Cory’s help, we believe we can further improve our efforts at the Hall of Fame and strengthen the relationships we are building in our community and state,” says Matt Martin, Hall of Fame Executive Director. 

Criswell comes to the Hall of Fame with a history of teaching, coaching basketball, and serving as an Assistant Athletic Director with New Castle Community Schools. He also owns a small business, Criswell Lawn Care. In addition to his vast experiences, he was elected in 2022 to serve as the State Representative of House District 54 in the Indiana House of Representatives. 

Cory holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Ball State and a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Anderson University. 

He will assume responsibilities at the Hall of Fame as former Development Director, Trip Lukemeyer, held. Criswell will be leading the fundraising and marketing campaigns, donor relations, and the annual golf outing event. 

“I am excited to get started with the Hall of Fame,” says Criswell. “I believe my ability to build relationships with individuals and businesses, along with my passion and knowledge of basketball, will allow me to help the Hall of Fame continue their success.” 

Cory was born and raised in Henry County and currently resides in Middletown, Indiana, with his wife, Sabrina, and their two children, Caleb and Carlee. He is a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Lewisville Lodge #72, along with the Sons of the American Legion, Middletown Post 216. Additionally, he and his family are members of Blue River Church of the Nazarene.
