IBHOF receives Indiana Humanities CARES Grant

May 28, 2020

Indiana Humanities has announced that the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc. will receive funding through a 2020 CARES Grant.

Indiana Humanities awarded CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Grants to 74 nonprofit organizations that provide public humanities programming to Hoosiers around the state.  Over $500,000 in total is being distributed to those organizations to support their operating costs.

“We are quite appreciative to receive a grant through this program.  For over 100 years, basketball has been an important part of Hoosiers’ lives,” said Chris May, executive director of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Foundation.  “Especially in times like these, we hope that the Hall of Fame programs like our podcast and Indiana Basketball History magazine will continue to document history, educate and entertain until our events and museum can resume normal operations.  Thank you to Indiana Humanities for their support of our organization and our mission.”
