On June 5, the newest addition to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s permanent display was delivered, in the form of a scoreboard from the former Camden High School.

Delivered by representatives of Delphi schools, including principal Kyle Trebley, athletic director Wes Allen as well as Chris Nipple and Jim Arion, it becomes the 12th scoreboard on display at the Hall of Fame museum, each representing a different design, technology and era.

Debuting as part of the Carroll County school’s new $130,000, 1,500-capacity gym in 1951, it was used through 1965 when Camden consolidated with Delphi.

The scoreboard, and Camden gym, are featured in Kyle Neddenriep’s 2010 book “Historic Hoosier Gyms.”
