HOF & IHSBHS host July 28 event
The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame will host members of the Indiana High School Basketball Historical Society (IHSBHS), friends of IHSBHS, HOF members and the public at large for an event on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame museum in New Castle.
The meeting will commence at 1pm that day. IHSBHS president Roger Robison, Hickory Husker website owner Leigh Evans and HOF executive director Chris May will give short talks, followed by a one-hour presentation given by Hoosier Hardwood Photo Project coordinators Michael Keating and Chris Smith involving Indiana’s gyms of yesteryear. A tour of the Hall will be available following the meeting, as well as informal group sessions to talk basketball.
Members of the public are welcome to attend at no charge for the event.
Hall of Fame Hours – 10A – 5P on Saturday
Directions – I-70 to the New Castle State Road 3 exit (Exit #123), go north on SR 3 four miles to the 4th stoplight (Trojan Lane). Turn right (east) on Trojan Lane, go a few hundred yards, Hall is on the left. Coming from the north, go through town on SR 3 to the south end of town – turn left (east) at the First Merchants Bank sign.
